The Woodbury County Fair will be from
July 30th to August 3rd, 2014
The Woodbury County Fair Board would like to thank Lewis Reyman for the 30 years of service to the Woodbury County Fair. Lewis first joined the Fair Board in 1983. Lewis was married to Virginia Reyman who was also very involved in the Fair. They had 3 children, Dennis, David and Denise. He is also blessed with 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Lewis has been a farmer his entire life, farming the family farm. Lewie's favorite Fair Board experience has been going to the State Fair Board Conference in Des Moines for many years and seeing the familiar faces year after year. He has also enjoyed working with all of the board members over the years.
When Lewie started on the board, he was on with his father-in-law, Lester Groepper. For the past 8 years, he has been on the board with his daughter, Denise and now replacing Lewis is his son, David. So the Woodbury County Fair and the Fair Board has truly been a family affair.
The Fair Board would also like to thank Kevern Koskovich. Kevern’s involvement with the Woodbury County Fair goes back to his early years, growing up on the farm. He was intimately tied to the Fair, starting as a young 4-Her with his first exhibit in 1959. His father, Russell Koskovich, was a long time Fair Board member too. Kevern’s children grew up in 4-H, carrying on the family tradition. Kev’s daughter, Holly, first exhibited in 1979, and his son, Rusty, showed 4-H exhibits in 1983.
Kev was also a club leader for the Rock-Kee-Union 4-H club for several years. He was elected to the Fair Board in 1984. Kev enjoyed being involved with the rodeo each year, and also enjoyed working at the Fair’s camp ground area. He has enjoyed working with such a committed group of volunteers, the fellow board members and executives.
Gary Frafjord is leaving the Fair Board after 12 years of service and Brian Sadler is leaving after 6 years of service.
Thank you to these members for giving of their time and talents to serve on our board. It is greatly appreciated!
